The Frontier bare roof rack is SportRack's roof rack for cars with no rails or fixed points. The foot is made of metal with some plastic shrouding. It has an integrated rubber pad that sit on the roof of the car and a rubber coated hook that clamps the rack into the car door opening. The square crossbars have a plastic sleeve. The traditional square bar design is compatible with most accessories, adapters are NOT typically needed for most accessories. Locks are included. Comes fully assembled. This is a nice rack that is strong and durable at a great price.

The SU rack is Inno's rack for cars with bare roofs. The metal feet are really well finished, and the fit is great. It is a solid, stable rack. The fit hooks have a thick dipped rubber coating. The locking mechanism is very secure.

The aerodynamic aluminum rack crossbars are really nice. The fit hooks are often 2-piece; they have a glued-on thick rubber pad. As with all aerodynamic bars, adapter may be needed for some accessories. Ease of install and lock security are industry standard.

The Thule 'square' bars are steel with a thick plastic sleeve. Locks are available separately security is industry standard. While locks cost extra the Thule one key system allows for having the same key for the racks and accessories. Thule is famous for great racks that fit great.
