Thule Traverse Rapid rack is a high quality rugged aerodynamic rack system. The rack system consists of three components: 1)The AeroBlade crossbar, which has slots to attach the foot on the bottom and a t-slot on the top to attach accessories. The slot comes with a noise defeating rubber filler strip. Pivoting end-caps finish the ends. 2)The Traverse foot holds the AeroBlade cross-bar and provides the point of attachment and the tightening mechanism for the vehicle specific fit-kit. It is a sturdy metal mechanism with a very tough plastic shroud. The circular knockout on the left allows for the installation of a lock to lock the rack to the car. 3)The vehicle specific fit-kit is a rubber coated metal hook and thick rubber pads each is contoured to fit the car perfectly. The fit kit is shown grayed out in the picture.
