Shipping Information
Shipping Carriers
Orders are typically shipped by FEDEX, UPS, GSO or US Mail. We choose the carrier based on the warehouse location, the ordered items and the delivery location. If you require (or wish to exclude) a certain delivery service, please let us know when you place your order, and we will work it out if we can.

Free Shipping

Free Shipping is only available on orders shipped to the contiguous 48 US states. This excludes shipments to Hawaii, Alaska, APO, and FPO addresses.  Free Shipping orders ship by our choice of FEDEX Ground, FEDEX SmartPost, UPS Ground, US Mail First Class, US Mail Parcel Post, US Mail Priority Mail, Golden State Overnight or other shipping services.

Shipping Time

Shipping times are in business days, excluding holidays and weekends.
We ship orders as soon as possible. Most orders placed before 1:00 pm ship the same day, but order processing and packaging time can be up to 3 business days after the day you place your order, ocasionally longer. If possible, we will rush an order upon request. If you are in a hurry or have a time commitment, please let us know.

Shipping Charges
Shipping charges may be determined by the ZIP code of the delivery address.
Entering the correct ZIP code is your responsibility.

For standard shipping within the continental US, we offer simple tiered shipping rates. Orders under $11 have a flat rate shipping fee of $4.95, orders over $11 and under $39 have a flat rate fee of $2.95, and orders over $39 ship for free. The total shipping charge for your order will be shown in your shopping cart; you do not need to enter any additional billing or shipping information.

Express Shipping
Express shipping times are business days.

  • 2 day Express Shipping is delivered 2 business days after the day the order ships.
  • If an order ships overnight on Friday the soonest it will be delivered will be Monday.
  • If an order ships out on Tuesday and Thursday is a holiday then Overnight Shipping would be delivered on Wednesday, 2 Day Express Shipping would be delivered on Friday and 3 Day Express Shipping would be delivered on the following Monday.

Priority Mail and Express Shipping may also be available in the shopping cart.

For some items express shipping may not show in the shopping cart but may be available. To check availability and cost, please call CargoGear toll-free at 866-792-6614.  Some items may take several days to leave the warehouse. This may depend on the warehouse that ships the item and current conditions. Please contact us, we will get it out if we can!

For some items and shipping destinations Saturday delivery may be available for an extra charge. Please contact us for more information.

Shipping outside the Continental 48 US states
If you place an order to be delivered to an address outside the continental US, (for example: order shipping to AK, HI, APO, or FPO) and shipping charges were not available in the shopping cart we will contact you with actual shipping charges before your order is shipped.

You can also call us in advance to obtain the shipping costs to Hawaii and Alaska. We normally ship via FedEx 2 Day service or USPS Priority Mail; please call 866-792-6614 or email with the product information and shipping ZIP code.

Due to size restriction of the USPS, we are unable to ship oversize items to APO/FPO addresses. Please, email for shipping availability and cost on any product you are interested in.
Shipping Outside the United States
We currently do not ship to destinations outside the United States.
Our Return Policy

All returns require prior authorization and a valid Return Authorization Number.

Return authorizations must be initiated within 30 days of the delivery of your order.

If you Receive Incorrect Merchandise
If our warehouse ships the wrong item we will arrange for a pre-paid return label for the incorrect item. We will also ship the correct item or replacement item at no additional charge. We must receive proof of shipment of the incorrect item prior to our shipping of the replacement item.

If you Receive Defective Merchandise We will ship you free of charge replacements parts or components to correct the defect.

Shipping Damage
If you receive an item that has been damaged during shipping, please contact us as soon as possible. We will either replace the item or ship replacements parts (if, for example, the item requires assembly and some parts are missing or damaged). We will ship replacement merchandise or parts via normal shipping methods. We may need your assistance in filing a claim with the shipping company that damaged the merchandise. If you can, take a picture of the package when it arrives if it is damaged. We appreciate your cooperation. We will provide you with a pre-paid return label for any damaged merchandise that must be returned to us.

New and Opened Merchandise
You may return new merchandise (including opened merchandise that is in new condition) for any reason. The merchandise must be complete and include all original documentation and packaging. If packaging or documentation is missing or damaged, the item is considered to be used, and a 30% restocking fee will apply.

Shipping charges on certain large or heavy items are not fully refundable. The indicated amount will be deducted from the return amount for the following items: RV Ladders ($20), Trailer Hitches ($30), truck racks ($40), Undercover tonneau covers ($100), and Inno cargo boxes ($100) cargo platforms ($100). Return shipping is not covered; you may ship your return through the carrier of your choice. We recommend you insure your return shipments and use a method that provides a tracking number or delivery confirmation.

Returning items that ship by truck freight is VERY expensive, for example $500.

A 30% fee will be charged for returned merchandise that is not in new/opened and ready to resell condition including all original packaging and documentation.

In special circumstances NEW items MAY be authorized for return within 30-60 days from the delivery of your order. A 30% restocking fee will apply.

To request a return authorization, email with your order number, the part number, and reason for return. Once a return request is received and processed, you will receive an email with your return authorization number, instructions for return, and the amount you will be credited for your return in writing. When your return is received at our warehouse, we will inspect the item and credit you as indicated in the return authorization email. We will email you a receipt for the credit.

Used Merchandise
Used merchandise will not be authorized for return. CargoGear will work with customers on a case-by-case basis to evaluate exceptional circumstances. In many cases, if you have tried to install it, it is used.

Unauthorized Returns
No credit will be given for packages received without a valid Return Authorization Number.
